Last Friday night, I brought my family to the Jack Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing, MI to see the Harlem Globetrotters take on The Generals. I so was excited to team up with the Globetrotters to promote their world tour. But watching them play at Michigan State University-my alma mater- made the experience even more fun. Our mid-court seats were perfect for experiencing the dunks, antics, and acrobatic maneuvers of this high-energy exhibition team. The pre-game music was energetic and instantly got the crowd on its feet. The Globetrotter's warm-up showcased their iconic finger spins, back flips, and unique "behind the back" passes. And of course, the game itself did not disappoint! Four point shots, dunks, and dramatic squabbles with the refs made for an entertaining game.
Despite a score-board controversy, the Globetrotters pulled off a victory (again!) to keep their winning streak alive. The defense was a little lacking with the Generals, and the outcome of the game was definitely predictable. But you never know exactly how the Globetrotters will pull through, which makes their games so much fun to watch! Here's a recap of Friday's game:T
The Globetrotter's started out strong, with some impressive dunks. Sometimes the players even got hung up in the hoop! The halftime YMCA brought everyone to their feet and their mascot, Globie, kept the audience entertained between quarters.
A controversial call made the fourth quarter a little dicey. The scoreboard mysteriously shut off, and it was anyone's game. But in the end, The Globetrotters pulled off the win!
The Globetrotters were gracious enough to sign autographs and take pictures with fans after the game. What a fun night! Click here to purchase tickets for a game near you. Enter FUNFAM at checkout for an additional 25% off your purchase. Hope to see you courtside!
