The Harlem Globetrotters Will Make You Laugh – discount promo code: FAMGUIDE
The kids and I went to see the Harlem Globetrotters over the weekend. It was the first time any of us have seen the Globetrotters. The game was a nail-biter and went into sudden death before the Globetrotters finally beat the Washington Generals. BTW, the Generals have not beaten the Globetrotters since 1971. Even though the game was close, it wasn’t a great game because neither team played defense. However, the game was very entertaining and my kids laughed their heads off.
The Harlem Globetrotters gave us tickets to review the game on my dad blog. Our tickets were in the second level, close to the third level and near the end of the court. Fortunately, we were not directly behind the backboard so we could see most of the action. However, my advice is get seats facing the sides of the courts instead of ones at the ends. I think the view is much better there. And if you don’t mind paying extra, get seats near the court because sometimes the Globetrotters interact with people on the sidelines.
As expected, the Globetrotters showed off their incredible ball handling wizardry, amazing rim-rattling dunks and trick shots — things that you don’t usually see in an NBA basketball game. As I mentioned previously, the game itself wasn’t that great. But the experience was very entertaining. The Globetrotters sure know how to make people laugh — especially kids.
On another note, I want to point out that the players sign autographs at the end of the game. It’s a madhouse and my advice is to make your way to the court before the game ends. The lines are long.
We saw the game at the Moda Center in Portland. Our stop was just one of many cities in the 2015 Globetrotters tour. You can see theirfull scheduleonline. Readers of my dad blog can also save $7 off select tickets to any Globetrotter game this season. Just Use promo code:FAMGUIDE
